Awesome animals, great hosts! We of course loved the goats, but the dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, baby turkey, and goose were equally fun!

Visiting the goats was a unique and fun experience enhanced by Linda’s stories and the fact the we got to hold and feed her two 22-day old kids. I’m so glad we went.

This was one of the most relaxing things I have done in a long time. My teens loved the glamping setup and they had the best time with all the beautiful animals at the barn. They went canoeing many times, saw long horns on their way, did goat yoga which was one of the best thing we did, had s’mores and hot dog around camp fire and watched a movie under the stars. The hosts Linda and Steve are awesome and pure example of southern hospitality. We cannot wait to come back again as hosts have many more plans to expand and make changes to the glamping. Highly recommended for stressed out teens who love animals.

Linda’s “goatel” loft was super cute and very well and thoughtfully stocked with drinks, snacks, games etc. Both she and her husband Steven were great hosts and very accommodating/responsive to us. They even set up a bonfire and provided us with s’mores, which was a cute touch. We did goat yoga as well. Needless to say all of the animals were super cute! Do be aware that they live in an isolated location and there isn’t much nearby, so you do need to drive 15 minutes or so for restaurants. Overall, a unique experience that our group enjoyed and will remember.

We stayed in the yurt and went "glamping" for my husband's birthday. He said it was his favorite birthday ever! Linda and Steve are the most amazing people we've met in a long time. They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, plus many extras! Very comfortable accommodations. The scenery is gorgeous, right on the bayou. Quiet and serene. The water is full of fish just begging to be caught! Constant jumping! You can fish right from the deck where the yurt is. The farm itself is so sweet, full of goats and baby goats and chickens and ducks and geese, all running around and they love attention! Not to mention 3 very friendly dogs who will hang out with you if you wish! We can't wait to go back and visit!

The loft was just wonderful. The bed and pillows were so comfy. Linda supplied so many more surprises that we were not expecting: Gift bags, numerous types of snacks, candy, a stocked fridge with drinks, even wine. We felt right at home. Getting to interact with the goats and other farm animals was amazing. We would definitely recommend a stay. Thank you, Linda and Steven. Becky and Peyton

It was amazing experience for the kids to play with the animals, bottle feed the goats, pumpkin carving activities, s’mores, gift bags with water bottles and head lamps. So personalized. Loved it!

Everyone should stay at The Goatel! Adorable room stocked with everything you can possibly need. We arrived to a welcome basket filled with snacks, drinks, fun activities, and games. Bottle feeding the baby goats was the absolute best! To top it off we fished and had a bonfire. Linda and Steve are awesome.

First of all, Linda and Steven are the nicest people you'll ever meet. The Goatel is beautiful! A perfect blend of "farm life", "glamping", and hotel life. The room is unique and comfortable and just downstairs are farm animals that will come right up to your door. It's so nice to get out of the city/ suburb and into nature, (that's only an hour away from Houston). A peaceful river surrounds the farm on two sides and you can fish or just sit and look at how pretty everything is. I loved seeing my 4 years old twins connect with the animalsand nature while at the same time being able to go to our room for streaming movies and nap time. It's a great balance. I've recommended this place too two of my friends already and will continue to do so. We even got to do goat yoga at the end!

The room was perfect and exactly as described. Linda went above and beyond to make a great experience.

Everything in the photos are exactly what is there. Comfortable beds, soft fluffy towels, great breakfast, very efficient A/C in barn apartment. The goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, one friendly goose are funny, loving, endearing, early risers (before dawn the roosters are crowing) and have their own personalities. It’s a relaxing and peaceful place. There’s a lot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment. Linda and Steve are exceptional hosts and will make your stay very comfortable.

Definitely a fun getaway for a family with children. The staff were SUPER friendly and you can tell they love their animals.

A fantastic get away in a gorgeous location. The owners are so friendly and made us very welcome. Hilarious goat yoga, an absolute must whilst you're there! Our room itself was very clean, comfy, and fully equipped. We can't recommend it highly enough!
